  • What is a BANK STATEMENT or BANK LETTER?
A bank Statement (or, bank letter) is look at the current balance of a bank account. This can be a screengrab from an online bank account, a PDF bank statement from the end of the month, or a scan of an actual paper letter from the bank itself.

If you chose to get a letter from the bank itself, make sure that the letter is on bank letterhead, is signed by a bank official, and states that the account in question has a “current balance in excess of ______” (the amount you need to document), and does not need to list the actual balance total; therefore, this option offers more privacy for the account holder.

The balance is allowed to be in any currency, and it’s your responsibility to do the currency conversion calculations to make sure that you have enough money.
