All applications for outdoor fires on the Gordon College campus are made using this form. Applications are processed by the Gordon Police.
Please note that fires cannot be guaranteed in advance; approval is conditional upon weather and other conditions on the day of the event. The Gordon Police will contact the Wenham Fire Department (WFD) on the morning of the event and will notify you of the final decision at that time. WFD has authority to approve or deny all outdoor fires.
Please note the following expectations and conditions:
- You must read and understand the Outdoor Fire Policy.
- Applications must be made at least one (1) business day in advance of the event.
- Applications must be submitted by a Gordon College student or employee who is organizing or hosting the event.
- Incomplete or late applications may cause a request to be denied.
- The only pre-approved fire location is the fire pit at Gull Pond Beach.
